2022 NSW Golf Tournament Benefitting the Junior Giants
Every August for the last 17 years, Norman S. Wright has hosted a golf tournament. The annual golf tournament takes place at the famous Ritz-Carlton course and hotel in Half Moon Bay. Hundreds of clients and employees gather together for top-notch golf, spirited sponsorship, buffet dinner, lots of prizes, and for the last 13 years, an auction benefiting the Junior Giants. Over the years NSW has raised over $275,000 for this great organization.
The Junior Giants are the flagship program of the Giants Community Fund, which uses baseball and softball to promote health, education, and character development to propel youth ages 5-18 in underserved regions to be positive forces in their communities. Junior Giants is a free, non-competitive, coed baseball and softball program. The program offers equipment, uniforms, program incentives, and coaches’ training.
In 2021, almost 11,000 players in 57 leagues participated in the program. 62% of the players qualified for free and reduced lunch programs and almost 40% were girls.
